Meet Dr. Nicholas P. Barone

"At Barone Orthodontics, we want out patients' appointment with us to be the best part of their day. We create smiles, not just at the end of treatment, but everyday!" -Dr. Nick A Rhode Island native, Dr. Nick Barone gradutated from Moses Brown School in Providence. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and  Marshall College in Pennsylvania, majoring in English Literature and Political Science, and completed a post baccalaureate in pre-medical science at Rhode Island College. Dr. Nick graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University School of Dental medicine, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and was given the American Association of Orthodontits award for Exceptional Intrest in the development of tha Oro-facial complex. He completed his two-year residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Tufts University.  "I strongly believe it is imperative to stay current with the latest advances in the profession, so we can contiue to provide our patients with the best possible care," Says Dr.Nick. He is a memeber of The American Association of Orthodontists, The American Dental Association, The Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, The Rhode Island Dental Association and The Rhode Island Association of Orthodontists. He achieved Diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics in 2014. Dr. Nick is part of the Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. Since 2018, Dr.Nick has served as chief cleft and craniofacial orthodontist for The Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University Medical School Craniofacial Team. Dr. Nick feels strongly about community involvement, having volunteered for activities including a dental misson trip to Ecuador to provide dental care to children in need, and yearly at the Rhode Island Misson of Mercy. Dr. Nick was awarded the Austin Scholarship for Community Outreach. Dr.Nick also sits on the advisory board for CCRI Dental Hygiene and Assisting Program and teaches the Frist-Aid in Dentistry Merit Badge for the Boy Scouts of America. Dr.Nick loves spending time with his wife Jennifer and four children (Lester, Russell, Waylon, and Flora), his dog Puka and chickens. If free time ever were to exist, Dr. Nick imagines he would enjoy a round of golf or a hike in the woods...
