Both Dr. Barone and Dr. Nick are board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. At Barone Orthodontics, we are certified to provide a variety of specialty treatments.
Meet the Doctors
Dr. Nicholas D. Barone
Dr. B is a fourth-generation Rhode Islander. Since starting private practice in North Providence in 1977, he has been active in his community and professional activities. He is the past president of the American Board of Orthodontics and is currently a clinical consultant for the American Board of Orthodontics. His professional peers have recognized his contributions with multiple leadership and achievement awards, most recently the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists highest honor, the Service Award.
His biggest personal satisfaction, however, comes not from the awards but from having been instrumental in enabling thousands of patients over his 40+ year career to achieve healthy smiles.
Dr. Nicholas P. Barone
Dr. Nick is a 5th generation Rhode Island native. While completing his two year residency at Tufts University, he was awarded the Austin Scholarship for Community Outreach. He is a member of the American Cleft Palate Association and is the Chief Orthodontist on the Rhode Island Hospital Craniofacial Cleft Palate Team. Dr. Nick also teaches the First Aid in Dentistry Merit Badge for the Boy Scouts of America and has done mission work in Ecuador to provide dental care to children in need.
But Dr. Nick’s Rhode Island roots are strong, and he returned home to join his father’s dental practice in 2012. Now his mission is a continued commitment to dental health in his local community.
